According to the Telegram channel Niyso, 19-year-old Vishan Tazurkayev was kidnapped from his workplace around the end of the year. The young man was taken to a police station in Argun, where he was tortured using electricity. As the channel reports, Tazurkayev died between December 31 and January 5, Eastern Time.

The source Kaukaz.Realii added that shortly before his death, Tazurkayev was released and taken home. Officially, the cause of death was reported as a "sudden illness," but during the funeral, it was revealed that his death resulted from brutal torture.

Meanwhile, the Niyso channel claims that Tazurkayev's body was returned to his family after his death. Security officers allegedly pressured them to list suicide as the official cause of death.

Wave of terror

The 19-year-old's family does not know why he was detained. Kaukaz.Realii recalls that in the fall, mass purges began in Chechnya following an attack on a Rosgwardia column, which resulted in the deaths of two soldiers. In Grozny alone, hundreds of people were reportedly detained.

The police department in Argun, along with the entire regime of Razan Kadyrov, has long had a notorious reputation for numerous human rights violations.
