Elon Musk's gaming prowess questioned as doubts emerge
Elon Musk is attempting to conquer the video game world. He claims to be among the top players globally in popular titles like Path of Exile 2. However, some accuse him of relying on help from others to achieve such high rankings.
During a recent stream where Elon Musk demonstrated how he plays Path of Exile 2, many doubts arose among players. Viewers noticed that Elon had trouble with basic game mechanics, like opening maps. It appeared as though he had never played at this level before, despite his impressive achievements.
Elon Musk a gaming master? "It's all for show"
Polish musician Piotr Weltrowski commented on Musk's behaviour on Facebook. He observed that the head of Tesla, SpaceX, and platform X is trying to prove to the world that he's an exceptional player, but his skills don't support this claim.
The issue is that he is desperately trying to convince the world that he is an exceptional player because he eagerly posts screenshots with rankings, where, for instance, he allegedly stands in the top 100 or even the top 10 players worldwide in a title, wrote Weltrowski.
In his post, Weltrowski highlights numerous mistakes Musk made while playing Path of Exile 2, which he believes clearly indicate that Elon's account was developed by someone else.
"Our Elon can't open a map. (...) It seems like a Chinese player maxing out the character described simpler maps to him and placed them in a special folder but forgot to tell him how to launch them," he added.
Weltrowski concluded that the issue is Musk's attempt to build an image of a genius player, which doesn't match reality.
There's something absolutely unsettling about a guy who's brushing up against ruling the world, having such an ego trip that he tries to play on an account maxed out by someone else in a game, to post screenshots on social media that suggest he's at some extraordinarily high level of players on the planet, and then staging a show to prove it, insisting on it, even though absolutely everyone who knows the game he's playing can see he's maybe spent 5 hours on it. – summed up.
