Navarro rallies Republicans with post-prison warning at Milwaukee convention

Just after leaving prison, Peter Navarro, former advisor to President Donald Trump, spoke at a Republican convention in Milwaukee. Navarro, who completed a four-month sentence for refusing to testify in the Capitol riot investigation, emphasized that Republicans must take power to avoid further "persecutions."

- I got a very simple message for you. If they can come for me, if they can come for Donald Trump. Be careful. They will come for you," said Navarro, just hours after being released from federal prison in Miami. "If we don't control all three branches of our government — executive, legislative and judicial — their government will put some of us us like me and Steve Bannon in prison and control the rest of us - added the former Trump advisor.

The party activists gathered at the convention greeted Navarro with a standing ovation. Among them was former Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort, sentenced to seven and a half years in prison for money laundering and illegal lobbying in Ukraine, as well as former Trump lawyer Rudy Giuliani, who faces criminal charges in Georgia related to his involvement in efforts by the former president to remain in power.

Navarro warned that if Democrats win the election, they will use law enforcement to persecute ordinary Americans, including pro-life activists and conservative parents.

He also warned of a "a whole army of illiterate illegal aliens stealing the jobs of Black, brown and blue-collar Americans" workers.

On Wednesday, Navarro completed a four-month sentence for refusing to testify before a Congressional committee investigating the events surrounding the January 6, 2021 Capitol riot. The Trump advisor was reportedly involved in developing a plan to pressure Congress members to reject the results of the 2020 election.

In July, another former Trump advisor, former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon, went to prison for the same offence.
