Another couple in American show business is ending their marriage. Leah and Angelo met in 1996 at the El Floridita club in Los Angeles, and their love endured many challenges. It’s worth noting that Leah was a member of the Church of Scientology until 2013. She started aggressively fighting the organization, which she calls a cult. She is litigating against them, revealing the behind-the-scenes of their operations and creating TV shows about them. "As some of you know, since I escaped from Scientology in 2013, I have been followed constantly by Scientology operatives and agents. These people hide in the shadows to monitor my movements and who I am meeting with so they can report back to Scientology's intelligence agency, the Office of Special Affairs," - she wrote some time ago.

Leah Remini is divorcing her husband

As we reported at the end of August this year, Remini decided to divorce her husband. She was the first to file documents in court. Shortly afterward, she posted a lengthy message on social media accompanied by pictures with Angelo. She beautifully wrote about their relationship, which had to come to an end.

"We are proud of how we have worked through this together. Yes, we’re sad, and we’ve got some figuring out to do as we continue to move forward into our new normal—together still in many ways, and apart in some new ones. But here’s the thing: we’ve been best friends for so many years. We are still celebrating holidays together, watching our favourite TV shows together, and gathering as a family," she wrote on Instagram.

According to "People," it is confirmed that the couple will not fight each other. Angelo Pagán also filed divorce documents in court, stating that the reason for the divorce is "irreconcilable differences," which Leah also indicated. The businessman and the actress will not go to court over alimony.

According to American magazine, they gave up fighting over finances. At the same time, new court documents revealed that the couple has been officially separated since August 1.

Leah Remini – career and controversies

An American film and television actress. She gained popularity in the 90s by appearing in many TV productions. Her credits include "Saved by the Bell," "Cheers," guest appearances in the series "Friends," and she starred in "The King of Queens" for nearly 10 years. Her latest television production is the sitcom "Kevin Can Wait." After that, Remini focused mainly on producing shows that expose the inner workings of the Church of Scientology. Her "Scientology And The Aftermath" was aired in Poland on the Crime+Investigation Polsat channel.

- In the program, we have the story of two brothers who took their own lives one after the other because they couldn’t bear their family's breakup. They suffered because of the rule adopted by Jehovah’s Witnesses that if someone leaves, all contact with them is severed. There are also stories about children who died because their parents did not consent to blood transfusions. And these are not exceptions. Unfortunately, these stories happen often – she said in an interview.

- Women who are beaten by their husbands are told that they just need to be good wives. To me, that’s disgusting. I would never want my daughter to grow up believing she is inferior to a man. What does this organization teach? That women are inferior? What are men being taught? You know, I don’t expect people to blindly believe me, but there are serious issues that we as a society should discuss. There are blogs, there are accounts – just read what former Jehovah’s Witnesses say about it. I’m not the first person to bring up negative issues, and I certainly won’t be the last – the actress recounted.
