- I have to take responsibility for the fact that I worked with them both. I can’t turn back the clock. I’m grappling with those regrets but what do we have if we aren’t able to just be truthful about all of it? - she emphasized in the same interview.

Kate Winslet's first husband was Jim Threapleton, whom she married in 1998. The couple had a daughter. Unfortunately, the marriage did not withstand the test of time - in 2001, they divorced. Winslet later married director Sam Mendes in 2003, and they welcomed their son Joe in December of the same year. However, this relationship also ended.

In 2010, rumours about Winslet and Mendes's separation began. The actress was deeply affected by the tabloid stories, which blamed the breakup on her, claiming she had grown bored with her husband.The actress emphasized that the way the media wrote about their divorce was really brutal.

After the divorce, Winslet was linked with model Louis Dowler, a relationship that lasted a few months. Then, Edward Abel Smith appeared in her life. The couple married in 2012 and had a son, Bear, a year after their wedding. Winslet and Smith are still together today.
