Have you noticed wasps flying around your house? Don't worry. There's a way to protect yourself from them. All you need is an item you likely have on hand, and place it near the eavestrough. We guarantee that wasps will no longer come close to your house.

Wasps are insects that play an important role in the ecosystem. They feed on aphids and whiteflies, which are common garden pests. Additionally, wasps help in the disposal of carrion by bringing it to their nests. However, the problem arises when they start hovering around our homes. Below are some methods that will help effectively and safely deter these insects.

How to deal with wasps

Wasps are curious creatures that aren't afraid of people. Contrary to popular belief, they are not aggressive. They attack only when they feel threatened. If a wasp flies into your house, don't swat it with a newspaper. This reaction will only anger it, increasing the risk of being stung. Instead, try to avoid sudden movements. After a moment, the wasp will lose interest and fly away.

If you want to avoid such situations, protect your home from wasps. You don't need to spend money on expensive chemical preparations. All you need to do is buy clove essential oil from the pharmacy. Spray it on window frames and sills. Wasps can't stand this smell and will flee when they detect it.

The second method, which is equally effective, requires using old waste paper. Crumple a newspaper or paper bag and shape it to resemble a wasp nest. Then hang it on a string near a door or window. Wasps will think the nest is already occupied by other wasps and will quickly leave the area in fear.
