How to clean your kitchen hood with simple household items
Cleaning the kitchen hood is an important task that many people overlook. However, if we cook frequently, the hood can not only become dirty but also start to smell unpleasant. How can you clean it using a homemade method?
The kitchen should be exceptionally clean. While most people remember to clean this room regularly, they often forget to wash the kitchen hood thoroughly. This is especially true for those who cook often and use many colourful and intense spices.

A dirty and smelly kitchen hood is not pleasant. Therefore, if we cook frequently, we should clean it at least once a week. However, if we cook sporadically, we can clean the hood's elements once a month.
What should we use to clean the kitchen hood? Fortunately, we do not need expensive chemical agents. Instead, we can use we likely have products at home: water, white vinegar, baking soda, and mild dishwashing liquid.
Pour approximately 750 millilitres of lukewarm water and 250 millilitres of white vinegar into a container. Then add 250 millilitres of baking soda and 125 millilitres of dishwashing liquid. Mix everything well.
How to clean the kitchen hood?
We start cleaning the kitchen hood by turning off the appliance and wiping the casing with a cloth soaked in the degreasing agent. Then, we remove the aluminum filter and spread the mixture with a soft sponge. Place the filter in a bathtub or sink filled with hot water.
Soak the filter for about 15 minutes. After this time, gently scrub it with a sponge soaked in the product, rinse, and wipe it. You can also spray the internal elements of the hood with the liquid. Leave it for 15 minutes and wipe with a damp cloth. Finally, reinstall the filter. Even old and sticky grease should come off the hood.
