Google Flights has introduced a new service that could attract travellers looking for the best deals. According to the new pilot program, the lowest price guarantee is available on selected routes booked through the app.

Google claims that its algorithms are reliable enough to ensure that the price it offers for a given flight is the lowest available.

The new feature involves monitoring ticket prices until the departure of the first flight from the reservation. If the price drops, Google will refund the difference through the Google Pay app.

Terms of use

Initially, the offer was available only for selected routes booked using "Book on Google." Now, Google has expanded the program to select routes that can be found on Google Flights and booked through airline or travel agency websites.

To receive a refund, the price difference must be at least $7 CAD, and the maximum refund is $670 CAD. The money will be transferred within a calendar year to the Google account. You can create up to three reservations at a time with the lowest price guarantee.

To use the program, you must be logged into a Google account and have your location set to the USA and currency to USD. The price guarantee only covers flights departing from the USA. You must also provide a US billing address and phone number on the "Book on Google" page.

The company will refund the price difference

The price difference refund is processed within 48 hours after the first flight departure from the reservation. To obtain it, you must confirm by email that the reservation has been made by entering the confirmation number and last name and accepting the service terms.

The new Google Flights service can be a major convenience for people travelling from the USA. It is meant to ensure they pay the lowest possible price for their airline tickets.
