"Important breakthrough in the investigation," announced the French prosecutor regarding the case of the missing 15-year-old Lina from September. According to investigators from Strasbourg, the teenager's genetic material was found in a car stolen in the southern part of the country. This discovery brings them closer to solving the mystery of what might have happened to the girl.

On Friday, July 27, the French daily "Le Parisien" announced an important discovery by investigators from Strasbourg. It concerned the mysterious disappearance of 15-year-old Lina in September, a case that has long captured the attention of all of France. After several months, the prosecutor has moved closer to solving the mystery of her disappearance.

French media extensively reported on Lina's disappearance in September of last year. At that time, Lina was last seen at a train station in Saint-Blaise-la-Roche in Bas-Rhin, just about two miles from home. She was supposed to go to her boyfriend's place in Strasbourg but never showed up.

Witness testimonies initially stated that Lina was seen at around 11:15 AM on a nearby road. Shortly after, her phone went inactive, and the police began searching for the girl, who vanished without a trace.

DNA of teenager missing since September found

Investigators have now announced a breakthrough in the investigation. After nearly 10 months, genetic traces of the teenager were found in one of the stolen cars in the south. According to the prosecutor, "actions are underway to determine the circumstances in which she found herself in that vehicle."

After a thorough investigation, the investigators' attention was drawn to a vehicle that had not been mentioned before. Geolocation analysis of the stolen vehicle showed that it was near the place where Lina disappeared in September last year – the French prosecutor stated on Friday.

According to the prosecutor quoted by the Paris Daily, Friday's discovery should enable the localization of the teenager. However, it is puzzling that the car was found very far from where the girl disappeared. These and other unknowns will continue to be clarified by French investigators. At this moment, many indications suggest that the case may be criminal.
