More problems for the Russian army on the front line. Ukrainians fully utilize, for example, the F-16 fighter jets provided to them. Western weapons are also destroying Russian Su-25 aircraft, which are worth tens of millions of dollars. However, that's not all; even bolder combat actions are planned.

Ukrainian armed forces can already use the power of the F-16. These aircraft were provided by allies. The first fighter jets arrived in Ukraine three weeks ago. This is part of a batch promised by Belgium, Denmark, the Netherlands, and Norway.

The Ukrainian army is already boasting that the aircraft immediately joined the fight. Not just any fight. The fighter jets are handling enemy missiles excellently.

The F-16s were used to repel a massive missile attack that took place on August 26 at around 3:00 PM ET. The aircraft shot down Russian drones and combat missiles. Thanks to the use of the F-16, many Russian objectives were not achieved.

In aerial clashes, MANPADS, or Man-Portable Air-Defense Systems, play a crucial role. It's these rockets from this system that have been stopping the Russian Su-25s. These combat aircraft are worth over $16 million.

An especially spectacular attack was the MANPADS strike on a Sukhoi Su-25 attack aircraft near Kramatorsk. The Russian jet was supposed to fire flares to point out Ukrainian positions and prepare the Russians for an attack.

Ultimately, the Russian pilot did not complete his mission. He was shot down just above the ground, turning into a real ball of fire. Members of the anti-aircraft 28th Main Mechanized Brigade accomplished this feat. A video of the Su-25 being shot down has appeared online.

Will the F-16s also help within the territory of the Russian Federation?

Let's add that the Ukrainians want the F-16 fighter jets to also be used during the offensive in the Kursk region. However, this requires the approval of the United States, among others.

Poland had a significant role in transferring the F-16 to Ukraine. Our country is the logistical forwarding point for these aircraft. At this moment, our government has not yet transferred F-16s to the Ukrainian army. It's unknown if or when such a decision might be made.
