Cleaning the oven doesn't have to be difficult if you use the right methods. There's no need to head to the store for costly chemical products, which are often harmful to your health. Discover some home remedies that work just as well.

How to clean the oven?

One popular method for cleaning the oven is to make a paste from baking soda and water. Just add a few drops of water to 100 grams of baking soda to form a thick paste. Apply it to the walls of the appliance and leave it for an hour. Afterward, remove the paste with a cloth and thoroughly clean the oven using a sponge soaked in vinegar.

Another solution is lemon juice. Lemon works wonderfully to tackle unpleasant odours and adds shine to cleaned surfaces. Soak a paper towel in lemon juice, wipe the oven with it, and then clean with a damp cloth.

Ways to clean the oven

If you're seeking eco-friendly methods, steam might be your answer. Simply pour water with some vinegar or lemon into a heatproof dish, place it in the oven, and heat it to 50°C. After several minutes, the inside of the appliance will become cleaner, and the dirt will easily come off when wiped with a damp cloth.

Using steam helps you avoid chemical agents and saves time, an added bonus for those who appreciate natural solutions.

An innovative approach is to use a dishwasher tablet, which, when combined with hot water, can work wonders. The trick is to dissolve the tablet in water and use the solution as a cleaning agent. Spread it over the surface of the oven, leave it for a bit, and then wipe it off.
