Orban predicts end of Ukraine conflict, forecasts economic boon
Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban expects the war between Russia and Ukraine to conclude in 2025 through peace negotiations or the downfall of one of the parties involved. He is confident that following the conflict, European economies, especially Hungary's, will experience "great success."
In an interview with "Magyar Nemzet," Prime Minister Viktor Orban addressed his views on the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.
He said the war is expected to conclude in 2025, either through peaceful negotiations or the defeat of one of the parties involved.
Orban believes in success after the war ends
He conveyed optimism that post-war, European economies - particularly Hungary's - will achieve "great success."
He assured that they are ready to act in 2025, shifting their focus from war strategies to peacetime politics, with the aim of achieving substantial economic success once more.
Orban also highlighted that his government is forging partnerships globally, including with Russian leader Vladimir Putin.
He highlighted that the new American president holds a positive stance toward Hungary. The Chinese president visited two European Union nations, including France and Hungary. Additionally, he emphasized Hungary's strong diplomatic ties, noting the Turkish president as a friend, the Russian president as a genuine partner, and the Israeli prime minister as a close ally. He remarked that such a level of diplomatic relations is rare in Hungary's history.
