Drone strike ignites fuel depot in Russia's Tambov region
In Russia, there was another drone attack on Friday. This time, the target was a fuel depot in the Tambov region. The Ukrainian army most likely carried out the attack.

The Tambov region is located about 400 kilometres southeast of Moscow and about 500 kilometres from the border with Ukraine.
The attack was reported on social media by the governor of the region, Maksim Yegorov. "A fuel depot in the Tambov region in Russia, hundreds of kilometres from the border with Ukraine, caught fire on Friday after an attack by a Ukrainian drone", stated the governor. His words were quoted by AFP news agency.
Yegorov added that the drone was spotted around 8:45 PM local time (10:45 PM Eastern Time – ed.). "A small fire broke out at that time. It has already been contained," he added. Photos from the scene have surfaced online. They show a huge column of fire and dark smoke rising above one of the tanks.
According to local authorities, no one was killed in the attack. There is no information about any injuries.

There were also reports on Friday about an unmanned aerial vehicle attack in the Bryansk region, which directly borders the Ukrainian Chernihiv region.
The governor of the Bryansk region, Alexander Bogomaz, reported that one drone was shot down over his region, but its fall "partially damaged the roof of an administrative building."
A statement from the Russian Ministry of Defence claimed that from Thursday night to Friday, "25 Ukrainian drones were intercepted" over Russian territory. However, the ministry remained silent about the fire in the Tambov region.
