Sabrina Voinea took 5th place in the finals at the Olympic Games in gymnastics. The Romanian gymnast was penalized with deductions for stepping off the mat. The issue is that all the videos show that such an incident did not occur. Without the deductions, she would have been celebrating a medal in Paris.

Sabrina Maneca Voinea took fifth place in the floor finals in Paris in 2024 and scored 13,700 points. The gymnast stated that she felt wronged by the score she received on Monday at the Olympic Games finals in Paris because she knew she deserved a higher score.

Voinea appealed, but the result was not changed. The issue revolves around the Romanian gymnast being penalized with deductions for stepping off the mat. The problem is that all the videos show that such an incident did not occur.

The athlete's mother posted a video and photos on social media indicating that her daughter did not break the rules. Despite this, the judges did not want to hear about changing the verdict.

The footage shows that Sabrina did not make a mistake. No one is fighting for our rights! We love everyone endlessly who supported us. That was all I could bear - wrote her mother on social media.

- She performed the same routine in the qualifiers and scored 13,900 then. With that score, it would have been a bronze. And they took away another tenth of a point, which is why she doesn’t have a medal. Because the American is at the end of her career, and Sabrina can still go to the Olympic Games. The best wins, no matter the age. Even the Americans were confused - added Voinea, the Olympic silver medallist from Seoul in 1988.

Ultimately, it was Brazilian gymnast Rebeca Andrade who won the Olympic championship in floor exercises on Monday. After an exciting competition, Andrade surpassed two Americans. Simone Biles took second place, has already won three gold medals in Paris, and has been a legend in this discipline for several years.
