Those who have opted out are Jennifer Lopez, Anthony Hopkins, and Anne Hathaway. Now, Rihanna has joined this esteemed group.

Even famous and wealthy individuals can encounter issues with alcohol, which can negatively impact their lives. In recent years, more celebrities have publicly declared their total abstinence.

Rihanna hasn't drunk for a year

As a farewell to 2024, Rihanna shared her major achievement with her fans. The star from Barbados admitted that she did not drink alcohol at all last year. "New Year, new me" – she wrote under a clip she shared on Instagram, documenting her New Year's celebration.

The singer proudly announced that the last few months have been a period of sobriety for her. "I didn't drink all year," she confessed.

These stars have given up alcohol

Jennifer Lopez is known for caring about her beauty and health. At 54, she looks amazing, thanks to a strict diet, regular workouts, and skincare routines. But that's not all. Since 2003, Jennifer has avoided coffee, cigarettes, and alcohol, which has contributed to her better appearance and great well-being.

In December 2020, Anthony Hopkins celebrated 49 years free from alcohol addiction. As he admitted, he decided to change his life after a dramatic event when he drove a car while intoxicated and almost caused an accident. It was then he realized that addiction could lead to tragedy, and he decided to seek help. Now, he can't imagine going back to the "bottle".

The decision to quit alcohol was the best life choice for Anne Hathaway. The actress has been avoiding alcohol for five years and is proud of it. She has proven that her life is better without alcohol. In an interview with "Vanity Fair," Hathaway admitted that she always knew from the beginning that alcohol was not for her.
