US President Joe Biden, in an interview with "Time" magazine, confessed that Putin's goal is to revive the Soviet Union and the Warsaw Pact. He assessed that if the US and other countries allow Ukraine to fall, the same fate awaits, among others, Poland.

Russian aggression in Ukraine has been ongoing for over two years. Joe Biden was asked about a possible end to the war in an interview with "Time."

If we ever let Ukraine go down, mark my words, you’ll see Poland go, and you’ll see all those nations along the actual border of Russia [fall], - announced the US President.

He confessed that for him, the end of the war and peace means. "Peace looks like making sure Russia never, never, never, never occupies Ukraine." Biden believes this doesn't have to mean Ukraine's accession to NATO. "I was the one when—and you guys did report it at TIME—the one that I was saying that I am not prepared to support the NATOization of Ukraine," he added.

In an interview with "Time," Biden assessed that Vladimir Putin's goal is to rebuild the Soviet Union and "He wanted, he wanted to go back to the, to the days when there was NATO and there was that other outfit that Poland, everybody belonged to."

Will Trump pull the USA out of NATO?

Joe Biden believes that a Donald Trump victory in the election will mean the US withdrawing from NATO. Thus, the United States will lose its role as a world leader.

Biden added that, for this reason, China has an interest in interfering in the election in favour of Trump.Everybody, all the bad guys are rooting for Trump, man. Not a joke - he noted.

And so name me a world leader other than Orban and Putin who think that Trump should be the world leader in the United States of America - said Joe Biden.

Asked about the potential defense of Taiwan by US troops, Joe Biden declined to give a clear declaration on the matter. He stated that the way the United States would respond would depend on the circumstances. However, he emphasized that he does not rule out the use of US forces. He said he wouldn't want to trade places with Xi Jinping, pointing to China's internal issues such as a failing economy.

Biden on the war in Gaza Strip

In the interview with "Time," the US President also addressed the issue of the war in the Gaza Strip. Biden stated that he and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu primarily disagree on what should happen after the war. Joe Biden believes that only a "two-state solution" can help, which involves the simultaneous existence of the states of Palestine and Israel.

The US President was asked whether Israel committed war crimes. Joe Biden emphasized that "it is uncertain" and that the Israelis themselves are investigating it. "But one thing is certain, the people in Gaza, the Palestinians have suffered greatly" - he added.
