President of the USA, Joe Biden, published an open letter addressed to the Democrats. In it, he refers to the widely commented pre-election debate with Donald Trump. "It's time to end the questions and unite forces," appealed the president seeking re-election.

In a long letter to the Democrats, President Joe Biden states that the time has come for the party to unite and increase its chances of defeating Donald Trump in the fall presidential elections.

"We have one task. And that is to defeat Donald Trump. We have 42 days until the Democratic Convention and 119 days until the general election. Any weakening of determination or lack of clarity regarding the task ahead of us only helps Trump and hurts us. It's time to unite, move forward as a united party, and defeat Donald Trump," reads the letter published by Biden on platform X.

Biden on the alleged withdrawal from running in the elections

The President of the USA also referred to the emerging speculations about a potential change in the Democratic candidate for president. "Now that you've returned from the July 4th break, I want you to know that despite all the press and outside speculations, I am deeply committed to staying in this race, seeing it through to the end, and defeating Donald Trump," he assured.

Biden assured that in recent days, he has held dozens of conversations with both party leadership and Democratic voters. "I know the concerns and worries of the people. I am not blind to them," the president assured.

He stressed that he is convinced that these concerns also result from respect for the entirety of his political activity. "I can clearly and unequivocally respond to all of this: I would not be running again if I didn't fully believe that I am the best person to defeat Donald Trump in 2024," reads the document.

Confident Biden: "I received 14 million votes"

Joe Biden pointed out that changing the candidate would undermine the democratic nomination. "We had the Democratic nomination process, and the voters spoke clearly and decisively. I received over 14 million votes, which represents 87 percent of all votes cast in the entire nomination process. I have nearly 3,900 delegates, which means I am the presumptive candidate of our party by a majority of votes. It was an open process for anyone who wanted to run. Only three people decided to challenge me," reminded the president in the letter.

"Democratic Party voters voted. They chose me as the party's candidate. Are we now simply going to say that this process didn't matter? That the voters have nothing to say?"- asks the incumbent president.

Biden emphasized that he feels obligated by the voters' decision to select him as the Democratic Party candidate. "How can we advocate for democracy in our nation if we ignore it within our own party? I can't do that. I won't do that," he assured.
