Belarus claims drone incursions amid heightened military alert

- Belarusian air defence forces destroyed several targets over the country's territory on Friday, most likely drones launched from Ukraine, said the self-proclaimed president Alexander Lukashenko on Saturday, as quoted by the Belarusian news agency BiełTA.
"No drones detected"
Lukashenko claimed that several targets violated Belarusian airspace in the Mogilev region bordering Russia, which, as he emphasized, forced the authorities to put aviation and air defence forces on the highest alert.
On Sunday, the group monitoring military movements in the country, "Biełaruski Hajun," announced that no drones were "detected" over Belarusian airspace that day.

Due to the alleged violation of Belarusian airspace, the Ukrainian chargé d'affaires was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Minsk on Saturday. Earlier, the Belarusian dictator Alexander Lukashenko ordered the strengthening of the units stationed at the border with Ukraine.
- The situation at the border with Belarus is under control. We did not observe the Belarusian side pulling additional troops, informed, in turn, on Sunday, the spokesman of the Ukrainian border guard, Andriy Demchenko.
