Chocolate is one of the best ways to make long, evenings more pleasant. I dipped it in batter this time and baked it in the oven. This cake is definitely worth the indulgence.

In my recipe notebook, you'll find complicated and time-consuming recipes and simple recipes for quick desserts. In the fall, I eagerly reach for a cake with a whole bar of chocolate. It serves as a delicious filling that reveals itself when cutting the cake. Both milk and dark chocolate work well here, and those who love intense sweetness can also opt for caramel or white chocolate. The preparation takes just 10 minutes, and after another 25 minutes in the oven, I pull out a tray filled with a delicious dessert.
cake with a bar of chocolate
Ingredients:
- 3 eggs
- 340 grams (12 oz) of flour
- 100 grams (3.5 oz) of sugar
- 17 grams (0.6 oz) of vanilla sugar
- 95 millilitres (0.4 cup) of oil
- 190 millilitres (0.8 cup) of milk
- 1 teaspoon of baking powder
- a pinch of salt
- a bar of your favorite chocolate
Preparation Method:
- Crack the eggs into a bowl and beat them with sugar and vanilla sugar until fluffy and light.
- Add salt, oil, and milk to the batter and mix briefly.
- Sift the flour with baking powder and gradually add it to the batter, constantly mixing.
- Line a baking form with parchment paper or grease it with butter and sprinkle with bread crumbs. Pour in 2/3 of the prepared batter.
- Place your favorite chocolate bar in the center and cover it with the remaining batter.
- Put it in an oven preheated to 180°C (350°F) and bake for 25-30 minutes.
I decorate the finished cake with icing or chocolate glaze. Sometimes, I add almond flakes, chopped nuts, or sugar sprinkles on top. However, nothing is stopping you from serving the dessert plain, without any decoration. It's simple, delicious, and quick.
