Apple harvest: How to make the best white chocolate apple jam
The apple season has been ongoing since July, and with each passing day, the harvest baskets get heavier. It's an ideal time to use the fruit bounty in the kitchen by preparing delicious preserves for the pantry. Instead of the classic apple jam, I prepare its sweet and delicious variation. It's so tasty that everyone eats it directly from the jar with a spoon.

Apples in a jar are great for making apple pie, but in my home, apple jam with white chocolate reigns supreme. This combination is quite unusual for homemade preserves, but it's so delicious that it can be a dessert on its own. Preparing it is really simple, so if you haven't had the chance to try it yet, it's high time to change that.
The best apples for preserves
Apples for jams and other preserves should have intact skin without discolorations or spots. Brown, soft spots on the apple's surface indicate that the fruit is damaged and the rotting process has begun.
Apple and white chocolate jam
In my home, this recipe is called white Nutella, and there's something to that because it tastes just as good (if not better) than the popular spread. It's perfect for pancakes, waffles, and sandwiches, although plenty of fans simply grab a spoon once the jar is opened.
Apple and white chocolate jam is a wonderful twist on traditional preserves and a great way to rediscover them.
Ingredients:
- 2 kilograms of apples,
- 400 grams of white chocolate,
- 1 cup of water,
- 125-250 millilitres of sugar.
Preparation method:
- Peel the apples and cut them into smaller pieces, removing the core.
- Add a cup of water to the apples and blend into a smooth purée.
- Add sugar to the purée and cook until it thickens. Adjust the amount of sugar to your preference.
- Add broken pieces of chocolate and cook until melted.
- Transfer the hot purée to sterilized, clean jars and set aside to cool. Remember to seal them tightly.
Homemade white Nutella is ready. Enjoy!
