Annie Lennox was born in 1954. Although she attended classes at the Royal Academy of Music in London, she eventually dropped out of her studies.

For a long time, she performed in clubs and bars. There that she met her future long-time collaborator, Dave Stewart, with whom she formed various bands, although without much success.

They eventually decided to work as a duo, although their personal paths diverged. This led to the formation of the synthpop group Eurythmics. It was a successful decision, and their single "Sweet Dreams" became a hit.

In the music video for this song, Annie showcased her unique style with short, orange hair. She was dressed in a men's suit. This image caused such controversy in the United States that for a time MTV even stopped airing Eurythmics' videos. Nowadays, however, the song can still be heard on popular radio stations. "Sweet Dreams" is a song that has seen several covers, including one by Marilyn Manson.

Annie Lennox is active in charity work

Almost 40 years have passed since then, but Annie still has short hair. Perhaps not orange anymore, but still short. She has new wrinkles on her face, but it seems that the artist doesn't mind at all. And that sparkle in her eye? Still the same. Annie Lennox is currently involved in charitable work. On her Instagram profile, you can find content related to support for victims of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict in the Gaza Strip.

The singer strives to make the voices of those who suffer heard worldwide. Annie Lennox's fans greatly appreciate her charitable work. In the comments, they thank her for the goodness she shares. In December 2024, Annie Lennox will turn 70 years old.
