Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that in September, the plan to end the conflict with Russia will be presented to US President Joe Biden and the candidates for his successor, Kamala Harris and Donald Trump.

"The Kursk region is part of this plan," he stated at a press conference in Kyiv, referring to his country's military operation in Russia that has been ongoing since August 6.

The four elements of Zelensky's plan

Zelensky described his initiative as the "plan for Ukraine's victory." He explained that the project consists of several key elements: the first is actions in the Kursk region, the second is Ukraine's strategic position in the global security infrastructure, the third concerns diplomatic means to force Russia to end the war, and the fourth pertains to the economy.

The President emphasized that at this moment, he cannot reveal the details of the plan, as he intends to first present it to Joe Biden.

"I think it will be fair to first present this plan to the President of the United States because the success (of this initiative - PAP) depends on him whether they will give us what we need or not. Whether we will have the freedom to use what is in this plan, or not," he explained.

"I think I will present this plan to him (Biden) at a meeting in September. (...) In some way, it will be right to pass this plan on to both Kamala Harris and Donald Trump because we do not know who will be the President of the United States, and we really want to implement this plan," Zelensky added.
