  • At least 31 people were killed in Israeli attacks on Lebanon on Monday, according to the Ministry of Health in Beirut. Israel also targeted sites in Syria. On Monday, media reported progress in the negotiations concerning a ceasefire in Lebanon. According to reports, both Israel and Lebanon have agreed to the American proposal, and there is a chance that a truce will be announced in the coming days.
  • In just three months, between July and September, 957 women and 315 children were murdered in South Africa, General of Police Norman Sekhukhune reported on Monday at a press conference following the release of the latest crime statistics. This data indicates that during this period in South Africa, over three children and ten women were murdered each day. The South African police admitted that although the overall number of murders decreased nationwide, the most severe crimes committed against women have been increasing year by year.
  • The special prosecutor Jack Smith's team has filed requests to withdraw federal charges against Donald Trump. These charges concern attempts to remain in power and retain classified documents. The prosecution referred to a legal opinion from the Department of Justice stating that a sitting president cannot be prosecuted.
