For years, The Olympic Games have made the world experience sports emotions even more intensely for a few weeks. However, there are situations that no one can foresee. History knows cases of broken poles in high jumping or serious stumbles during hurdle races.

However, the mishap of the German representative Tim Elter definitely amused many internet users, including the competing athlete. While battling a wave, the surfer's pants slipped down, and he himself posted a video of the incident on TikTok. He will surely remember his debut for a long time.

His pants fell off during his debut at the Olympics

While surfing, Tim Elter lost his balance and fell into the water. An unfortunate incident occurred at that moment - a huge wave pulled down his shorts. Since the surfer was turned away from the camera, viewers briefly saw his bare buttocks. This view lasted only a moment, as another wave soon followed.

The 20-year-old debutant was not too bothered by this incident. On the contrary, he posted the entire situation sometime later on his TikTok profile, adding a short description with a laughing emoji.

"My first Olympic Games and then this happens..." wrote Elter.

Surfing is an Olympic discipline for the second time

The German athlete finished the first round in the last position, but the competition rules allowed him to participate in the second round. Unfortunately, he also did not succeed in this phase, finding himself among the two weakest participants and losing out on a place in the round of 16.

Despite these results, Elter was satisfied with his Olympic debut, emphasizing the value of the experience gained. In an interview with the Sportschau portal, the 20-year-old expressed enthusiasm about his future career, emphasizing he can't wait for the next years.

It is worth noting that surfing is a relatively new Olympic discipline, present in the Olympic program for the second time - after debuting in Tokyo three years ago. The competition of the best surfers will continue until August 4. Interestingly, the surfing competitions are taking place outside French territory - on the island of Tahiti in French Polynesia, located in the Pacific Ocean.
