US soldier faces 65 years for selling secrets to China
A former soldier of the United States Army has admitted to all charges of selling national defence secrets to China. Korbein Schultz allegedly conspired with an individual living in Hong Kong connected to the Chinese government. The American could face up to 65 years in prison for his actions.

Sergeant Korbein Schultz from the U.S. Army admitted to charges related to selling defence secrets to China, receiving CAD 57,000 in return. FOX News conveyed this information.
Schultz, who had access to highly classified information, was accused of compromising the United States' national security by passing defence data to a foreign state.
The charges presented included conspiracy to obtain and disclose national defence information, exporting technical data without the required license, and bribery.
For his actions, Schultz could face up to 65 years in prison. The sentence will be announced on January 23, 2025.

Emphasizing the gravity of the situation, FBI Assistant Director Robert Wells from National Security declared that such a case should warn anyone contemplating betraying the state.
It was assured that U.S. agencies would do everything to protect national secrets from countries that target military personnel and national security information.
The case is also being handled by prosecutors Adam Barry and Christopher Cook from the Counterintelligence and Export Control Section of the Security Division and Assistant U.S. Attorney Josh Kurtzman.
