During the night, from Wednesday to Thursday, a drone attack hit the airport in Primorsko-Akhtarsk, situated in the Russian region of Krasnodar Krai. According to Ukrainska Pravda, the area houses a warehouse containing Shahed kamikaze drones, which the Russians deploy in assaults on Ukraine.

The attack targeted the vicinity of the airport, where a warehouse stocked with Shahed drones is located. Andriy Kovalenko, head of the Centre for Countering Disinformation at Ukraine's National Security and Defence Council, confirmed this information. Footage from the scene shows a large fire and plumes of smoke.

Videos on Telegram show fire and smoke over the city, and the sound of incoming drones is audible.

This isn't the only recent action by Ukrainian forces. Also, on the night from Wednesday to Thursday, a refinery in Krasnodar Krai was struck by Ukrainian drones. This marks another attack on Russian fuel facilities since the start of the year.

These assaults are part of a larger strategy by Ukraine to diminish Russian military capabilities.

Krasnodar Krai, where these incidents occurred, is strategically important for Russia. It hosts key military and industrial facilities, making it a focal point for Ukrainian military operations.
