Ronaldo embraces 40 with family as football journey continues
There was no big party for now. Cristiano Ronaldo showed on social media that he spent his 40th birthday with family and friends. As of Wednesday, the Portuguese star can call himself a forty-year-old.
Cristiano Ronaldo is in an intense period of the season. His team, Al-Nassr, won 4-0 on Monday in an AFC Champions League match. The team leader scored two goals in defeating Al-Wasl from the United Arab Emirates. Al-Nassr's next match in the Saudi league is already scheduled for Friday.
Thus, the Portuguese didn't have much time to celebrate an important day. Cristiano Ronaldo entered his fifth decade on Wednesday. He could teach many athletes lessons on ways to achieve longevity, as he remains an active soccer player with plans for the future.
However, it wasn't as if Cristiano Ronaldo and his loved ones forgot to celebrate the soccer player's 40th birthday. The Portuguese star shared two photos from his special day on social media.
In one photo, Cristiano Ronaldo posed with his beloved Georgina Rodriguez, with whom he has formed a strong relationship over the years. In the second photo, Cristiano and Georgina are surrounded by loved ones invited to the birthday gathering.
Thank you all for the amazing birthday messages! Had a great day with family and friends, couldn’t wish for anything better - wrote Cristiano Ronaldo.
The Portuguese star wants to soon surpass the 1,000 goals he has scored in his career. He remains in excellent scoring form and certainly has a strong appetite for breaking the record. Cristiano Ronaldo plans to play his last World Cup in 2026. However, Portugal still needs to qualify for the tournament, which will be hosted by Canada, the United States, and Mexico.
