The UK government has reiterated its commitment to supporting Ukraine after Donald Trump's administration suspended American military aid.

They emphasize their unwavering dedication to securing lasting peace in Ukraine and are actively collaborating with key allies to advance this goal, viewing it as both the right approach and beneficial to their interests.

The statement of Downing Street highlights a partnership with Ukraine, enabling the country to access £1.6 billion ($1.9 billion) from the British export fund to acquire 5,000 air defense missiles.

A White House representative confirmed in a statement to the media that President Donald Trump has suspended all military aid to Ukraine, "to ensure it contributes to a resolution" of the conflict.

"The president has been clear that he is focused on peace. We need our partners to be committed to that goal as well. We are pausing and reviewing our aid to ensure that it is contributing to a solution," stated the White House representative.
