Many pieces of information reported by Russian media or government representatives are elements of propaganda. Such reports are part of the information war conducted by the Russian Federation.

Donald Trump has called on Russian President Vladimir Putin to end the war in Ukraine. He warned that if an agreement is not quickly reached, he would have no choice but to "put high levels of Taxes, Tariffs, and Sanctions on anything being sold by Russia to the United States, and various other participating countries."

Trump threatened Putin: "If we don’t make a 'deal,' and soon, I have no other choice but to put high levels of Taxes, Tariffs, and Sanctions on anything being sold by Russia to the United States, and various other participating countries."

Trump's firm statement surprised Russian propagandists, who were shocked by the tone of the U.S. president.

"Trump publicly addressed Putin via social media. 'Lord of the World' threatened, putting Putin in an extremely difficult situation" - wrote Alexander Nevzorov, a former State Duma deputy, whose account is followed by over a million users on Telegram.

Marina Akhmedova, a member of the Human Rights Council under the President of the Russian Federation and editor-in-chief of IA Regnum, writes: "Many have already considered this segment of Trump's speech as an ultimatum. And it would be an ultimatum if Trump hadn't said so much in recent days. He threatened the Panama Canal and Greenland. (...) Trump even threatened Spain with tariffs for its presence in BRICS, although Spain is not a member of BRICS. It seems that Trump is simply experiencing a phase - creating an image of himself as a cowboy named Thunderstorm. We are watching a western with Trump in the leading role, and westerns include various genres - both comedy and action."

Lieutenant Colonel of the Russian Guard Zakhar Prilepin believes that "no one will agree to this primitive blackmail."

"We must prepare for a long war and a worsening economic situation, but Ukraine should prepare for destruction, for the deconstruction of statehood through millions of fatalities as a result of resistance to the liberation forces of the Russian Army. Lay down your arms before it's too late," reads the propagandistic entry.

"I wonder how Putin will respond to the ultimatum. We are waiting! Is Trump trying to use the Russians?" - wrote Olga Skabeyeva, a Russian TV journalist and political commentator.

"In response to Trump's proposal, Kremlin propagandists sent him to hell," notes Ukrainian journalist Sternenko.

He cited two posts from two propagandistic accounts. "[Ignore] this Trump and all his team. This is the only correct and adequate approach, strictly in the style of traditional Russian diplomacy," "A stream of threats from Trump, garnished with politeness, and even an attempt to show kindness (well, best he can) is so far directed exclusively at Russia" reads.

"Trump is threatening us twice within 24 hours. No illusions. A capitalist who does not care about other countries. Nothing, Russia is like a KAMAZ, the more you load it, the better it goes," wrote Alexander Sladkov, a Russian journalist.

On the channel belonging to Vladimir Solovyov, the main Kremlin propagandist, we read: "Trump said that Russia helped the United States win World War II, but his statement clearly distorts the historical role of the parties. In fact, he made the United States the main victor, forgetting that it was the Soviet Union that decisively contributed to the defeat of Nazi Germany."
