Retired General Keith Kellogg, serving as President Trump's special envoy on Ukraine and Russia, stated that the United States plans to apply pressure on both Russia and Ukraine. According to Kellogg, the goal is to achieve a ceasefire, which might take several months.

In a conversation with Fox News, Kellogg expressed optimism about the end of the Ukraine conflict. He emphasized that the White House has a solid negotiation plan in place.

This process, as General Kellogg suggests, is expected to include both pressure and incentives for both sides of the conflict. The general assessed that the current sanctions on Russia are not being enforced effectively.

President Trump confirmed that talks with Russia are already underway, with more discussions planned. During the ceremony to confirm Doug Burgum as Secretary of the Interior, Trump stated that the United States is striving to end the war.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov expressed Russia's readiness for dialogue. While Washington confirms its willingness to engage in peace talks, there have been no official moves or concrete solutions.
