The businessman and former president announced that his candidate for vice president is 39-year-old J.D. Vance. The author of the bestselling book "Hillbilly Elegy" and the Republican senator from Ohio appeared at the rally with his wife, Usha.
Who is J.D. Vance's wife, Usha Vance?
Usha Vance was born in 1986, the daughter of Indian immigrants. She grew up in the suburbs of San Diego and later graduated with degrees in law and history from Yale University. From her LinkedIn profile, one can also learn that she was a recipient of the prestigious Gates Scholarship Program at the University of Cambridge, where she earned a master's degree in early modern history.
After graduating, Usha Vance worked as a clerk for two Supreme Court judges: Brett Kavanaugh, a Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit judge, and Chief Justice John Roberts.
