Trump also praised the results of talks with the Russians in Riyadh, claiming they give him "great confidence" in the prospects for achieving peace.

Trump-Putin meeting "probable"

During a conversation with journalists, Trump was asked about plans to meet with Putin. He responded that it is "probable." The US President also expressed satisfaction with the initial talks between the American and Russian delegations in Riyadh, which, in his opinion, indicate Russia's willingness to cooperate in ending conflicts.

Trump emphasized that the talks were "very good" and that Russia wants "to stop the wild barbarism."

On Tuesday in Riyadh, the first meeting in years between the American and Russian delegations took place. In the capital of Saudi Arabia, the heads of diplomacy from both countries—Sergey Lavrov and Marco Rubio—held talks. During the meeting, they agreed, among other things, to establish special teams concerning the end of the war in Ukraine.
