Tamayo Perry has died. The lifeguard and actor known among others from "Pirates of the Caribbean" died at just 49 years old. Sky News reports that the man was surfing near Oahu in Hawaii on Sunday. Before 1 PM Eastern Time, rescuers, alerted by a witness, rushed to help.

The Honolulu Department of Emergency Services reports that the man was brought to shore by a jet ski, but rescuers were unable to save his life. Perry died from the shark attack, with the cause of death being the injuries sustained.

After the actor's death, a warning about the potential danger of another attack was issued. The Daily Star reports that the man was found near Malaekahana Beach near Kahuku. More than one shark bite was reported on his body.

Perry was not only an actor but also a professional surfer. He appeared in productions such as "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides," "Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle," and "Blue Crush". He started working as a lifeguard in 2016. The Mayor of Honolulu, Rick Blangiardi, quoted by Daily Star, stated that Tamayo was highly respected, and his death was a considerable loss.
