Russia bolsters troop strength with North Korean support
General Vadym Skibitsky, deputy head of Ukrainian military intelligence (HUR), reported that approximately 580,000 Russian ground troops are involved in the warfare against Ukraine.

Russian losses and support from North Korea
In early November, "The New York Times" reported that 50,000 Russian and North Korean soldiers are preparing for an offensive in the Kursk region to reclaim territory controlled by Ukraine.
General Oleksandr Syrsky, the chief commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, reported that since August, Russian forces have lost over 20,000 soldiers in this region. Due to personnel shortages, Moscow has turned to North Korea for help.
Around 35,000 Russian troops from the Russian National Guard (Rosgvardia) have been deployed in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine - reported the Interfax-Ukraine agency.
