These pancakes are a dream come true for any sweets lover. When you cut into the pancakes, molten chocolate flows out, enticingly spreading over the plate. This sweet surprise will delight not only the youngest household members. It's perfect when you're tired of eating just chocolate, and the pantry supplies still seem endless.

When chocolate Santas are staring at you accusingly from the sweets cupboard, turn them into pancakes. Fluffy, American-style pancakes have captured the hearts of millions of people around the world. With this sweet, post-holiday twist, they taste even better.

Instead of chocolate Santas, you can also use regular chocolate when the post-holiday stash runs out. If you notice a white coating on the chocolate, you don't need to stop eating it.

But remember to freeze it—it's the key to the sweet success. This ensures that you don't have a single solid piece in your pancakes, but rather, a pleasantly melting chocolate mass.

Ingredients:

  • chocolate Santas,
  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour,
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder,
  • 2 eggs,
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar,
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil,
  • 1 cup milk.

Preparation:

Step 1. Melt the chocolate Santas in a double boiler or microwave. Break them into smaller pieces to make them melt faster.

Step 2. Spread the melted chocolate onto a sheet of parchment paper in blobs. Place in the freezer for about 2 hours.

Step 3. In a bowl, combine the wet ingredients - eggs, milk, and oil. In a separate bowl, mix the all-purpose flour, vanilla sugar, and baking powder. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ones and mix until smooth and without lumps. Let it stand for 30 minutes. Letting the batter rest allows the baking powder to fully activate, making the pancakes more delicate and fluffy.

Step 4. Heat vegetable oil or clarified butter in a pan. Pour a portion of the batter, place a piece of frozen chocolate on it, and cover with another portion of batter. Cook on both sides for about 2 minutes, until the pancakes begin to brown.
