Simple kitchen hack transforms small strainer's utility
Is a small kitchen strainer not always willing to cooperate with you? Thanks to a simple trick, you can use it in the kitchen without any problems even today, and in many interesting ways.
It's hard to imagine daily kitchen activities without basic kitchen gadgets such as a frying pan, cutting board, rolling pin, or meat tenderizer. Of course, these are just a few of the useful tools that can streamline kitchen work.
Among such tools, you can also include a kitchen strainer. And that's exactly what I want to focus on today. Why? Because with very little effort, even a small kitchen gadget can be valuable on a much larger scale.
A small strainer holds great potential
Do you have a small strainer in the kitchen that sometimes, due to its size, is difficult to handle? For example, you want to place it on a large bowl, but it's almost impossible precisely because of the gadget's size. In this case, the small strainer is not stable and slides to the centre of the large dish, rendering it useless. But does it have to be?
Until recently, I had this problem too. However, it turns out that very little is needed to change the situation dramatically in our favour. All you need to do is combine the small strainer with another kitchen tool, and in a blink of an eye, you can increase the utility of the gadget. How? Let me explain!
Brilliant hack with the strainer as the main star
The key to success in this case is an inconspicuous spoon found in every home. This means no additional expenses. Moreover, the entire hack is so simple and quick that within a few seconds, you'll enhance the utility of a small strainer. You don't need any special cooking skills for this.
You've likely noticed that there is a small protrusion on the strainer. And perhaps you've wondered what it can be used for. It turns out it will be of use today. All you need to do is thread a small spoon through it. For this purpose, we use the thin end of the spoon. The broader part should have direct contact with the strainer. And that's it. This secure setup creates a stable structure that you can confidently use on the surface of a large dish.
As you can see, very little effort is needed for a small strainer to become more useful in your kitchen. Be sure to write to me about what you think of this solution.
