Russia launches massive multi-front assault on Ukraine

On Monday, August 26, Russia conducted a massive attack on Ukraine. Ukraine's civil infrastructure, energy facilities, and residential buildings came under fire. A woman from Odessa showed on social media what happened to her apartment. She couldn't hold back her tears; everything was simply destroyed by the explosions.

On Monday, August 26, the Russians launched 127 missiles and 109 assault drones at Ukraine, of which 102 missiles and 99 unmanned aerial vehicles were shot down.

The Russians attacked from the air, land, and sea. According to Ukrayinska Pravda, this attack cost Russia CAD 1.7 billion.

Also in the evening, President Zelensky announced that he had discussed the response to the massive attack with the chief commander, Oleksandr Syrskyi. Zelensky added that the discussion also included using F-16 fighters over the Kursk region's territory.
