Rosneft refinery struck by drones as Samara region on alert

On the night of February 18, the refinery in Syzran, owned by Rosneft, was targeted by drones. This information was released by the governor of the Samara region, Vyacheslav Fedorishchev.
Operational and emergency services are currently at the site. Fortunately, there were no injuries, reported "Kommersant".
The refinery in Syzran has a processing capacity of approximately 8.9 million metric tonnes of oil per year and produces a wide range of petroleum products, including motor fuels, aviation kerosene, and bitumen.
The plant employs over 2,200 people. In relation to the attack, around 5:00 PM Eastern Time, a drone attack threat was declared in the Samara region.
The Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations issued a warning about the threat of drone attacks, which remains in effect. Residents of the region are urged to stay vigilant. The situation is being monitored, and services are ready to act if necessary.
