Baked potatoes aren't just an excellent addition to many dishes. Prepared this way, they're delicious enough to serve with just one sauce, and everyone will be thrilled. Potatoes that evoke memories of those summer evenings by the campfire make everyone reminisce after the first bite.

Baked potatoes with a crispy skin

Nothing compares to potatoes wrapped in foil and tossed into a fire. They have crispy skin, and inside, they are soft, almost creamy. For many, baked potatoes are a nostalgic return to childhood, enjoying them during summer nights. You can relive that taste without lighting a fire, as everything can be prepared in your oven.

To bring back those childhood memories, all you need are three ingredients: salt, potatoes, and all-purpose flour. It's the flour that makes the skin crispy and reminiscent of summer campfire flavours.

These baked potatoes will be a great addition to many meat dishes, but they can also stand alone as a dish with a fried egg. The preparation process is simple and doesn't require much effort, and the taste result is stunning.

Baked potatoes like from a fire

Ingredients:

  • 0.7-0.9 kg of potatoes (or as many as you need for your family)
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon salt

Preparation Method:

  1. Thoroughly wash the potatoes, scrubbing the skin. Do not peel them, even if they are not new potatoes. It's best to choose small or medium-sized ones.
  2. In a bowl, mix the all-purpose flour with salt and add the still wet potatoes.
  3. Cover the bowl with a plate and shake well to completely coat the potatoes with flour.
  4. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and arrange the potatoes on it.
  5. Bake them in an oven preheated to 200°C for about 1 hour, checking the softness with a fork. Depending on the size of the potatoes, the baking time may slightly increase.
  6. After baking, take out the potatoes and transfer them to a plate. Do not add more salt, as there is enough in the coating. Once you've cut open the potato, you can add a bit of butter to further enhance the flavour.
