In early November, Buckingham Palace stated Queen Camilla's health. It stated that the wife of King Charles III has been struggling with a respiratory infection.
Buckingham Palace, as reported by the Daily Mail, announced that Her Majesty the Queen is resting and following medical advice to abstain from official duties.
The statement expressed regret that the Queen had to cancel her engagements for the week but conveyed her hope for a swift recovery ahead of the weekend's events. It also included her apology to anyone affected or disappointed by the change in plans.
Queen Camilla is not in the best shape
Although nearly a month has passed since the statement was issued, Queen Camilla has not yet returned to her royal duties. According to the latest information from "People" magazine, she is experiencing side effects from a severe respiratory infection. For this reason, she did not participate in the Buckingham Palace welcome of the delegation on December 3rd: the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, and his wife, Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Hamad bin Suhaim Al Thani.
As reported by "People," Queen Camilla "has limited energy resources after battling the infection." She will join King Charles III, Prince William, Duchess Kate, and the Qatari delegation for lunch inside Buckingham Palace. During their two-day visit to the United Kingdom, she will meet them for a commemorative photograph and to bid them farewell.
Queen Camilla must return to her duties
A month-long break from royal duties is an exceptionally long period without work for Queen Camilla. Given that her calendar is fully booked, the Queen must slowly return to her duties. It is known that on December 4th at 3:00 PM ET, she will participate in presenting the British-French Entente Littéraire awards for young writers. The event will also include the First Lady of France, Brigitte Macron.
