The court hearing took place because, at the beginning of July, Deputy of the State Duma from United Russia Andrei Kartapolov published two videos from the school ceremony in Nalchik on his Telegram channel. The recordings show several people sitting during the playing of the Russian anthem.
The deputy wrote that he had applied "to the appropriate authorities" because, in his opinion, it was "a fact of demonstrative disrespect for the national anthem." The reaction came the next day. Kartapolov thanked them.
