The second-generation HS is an attractive stylistic advancement over its predecessor. It is not a car that will blow you away with its looks, but it presents itself attractively and will likely appeal to everyone. Moreover, it will now be available not only with a conventional combustion engine.
The range will include a plug-in hybrid based on a 1.5-litre gasoline unit with 142 HP and a 209 HP electric motor. This vehicle, combined with a 24.7 kWh battery, is expected to allow for driving 120 kilometres on electric power alone.
In addition, a classic, turbocharged 1.5-litre gasoline engine generating 169 HP and 275 Nm of maximum torque will still be available, paired with a 6-speed manual transmission or a 7-speed automatic.
The new HS measures 467 centimetres in length and 188 centimetres in width and has a wheelbase of 277 centimetres. The trunk can hold 510 litres. It's a large car, slightly bigger than, for example, the Toyota RAV4. Therefore, there will be no shortage of space, and the equipment should not disappoint.
Onboard, we will find, among other things, an 8-speaker audio system, 360-degree cameras, and a highway driving assistant. More details, including full specifications and prices, should be available soon.
