According to certification data for the US market, the GTD version is the most powerful and fastest Mustang in history. Thanks to a supercharger, the 5.2-litre V8 engine produces an impressive 826 HP. Even more striking is the maximum torque, which is 664 lb-ft. Such specifications allow it to accelerate to 325 km/h.

Notably, the GTD will not only be fast in a straight line. Ford intends to conquer the Nürburgring in under 7 minutes to prove it. Carbon-ceramic brakes, suspension with semi-active shock absorbers, and advanced aerodynamics help achieve this impressive result.

"We’ve been laser-focused from day one to create a supercar with world-class performance and the soul of a Mustang," said Greg Goodall, chief engineer of the Mustang GTD program. "The GTD’s heart is its 5.2-liter V8, delivering more horsepower per liter than the Porsche 911 GT3 RS."

It is not yet known exactly how many units Ford intends to produce. However, it will certainly be significantly fewer than the number of interested buyers. It is worth mentioning that 7,500 people are already on the waiting list. As you can see, a price of CAD 680,000 did not deter potential customers.
