Markus Rooth, the gold medalist in the decathlon at the Paris Olympic Games, announced his relationship with Jenny Spetalen, a popular influencer and daughter of a Norwegian billionaire. Their love story began uniquely, thanks to smoked salmon.

During the Christmas holidays, Rooth posted a video on social media where he playfully teased his younger sister with salmon. During the fun, the fish ended up hanging on the Christmas tree, catching Jenny's attention. The influencer commented on the video and invited the athlete for coffee.

He wooed me with smoked salmon, which he brought on the first date instead of flowers or chocolates. Could it be more romantic? - Jenny Spetalen is quoted by the Polish Press Agency.

"Jenny has captured my heart" - revealed the athlete

Rooth, who became extremely popular in Norway after winning the gold medal, can boast the title of 2024 Athlete of the Year, awarded by the Norwegian Journalists Association.

That's not the only thing the acclaimed athlete can count on. As he admitted, his popularity is bringing surprising proposals. It turns out that he is bombarded with relationship offers daily. "Now my heart belongs to Jenny," the athlete emphasized, clarifying that he is no longer available.

Jenny Spetalen, a 22-year-old influencer, is the daughter of Oeystein Stray Spetalen, one of Norway's wealthiest individuals. Her family owns a building with 20 rental apartments in a prestigious location in Oslo, just 300 metres from the royal palace. Apartments on this street are among the most expensive in Norway. She is also the CEO and owner of the investment firm Ferncliff TIH AS and a board member of various publicly traded companies.
