Trooping the Colour is one of the most important events in the British royal family's calendar. At this year's parade, which celebrated the King’s birthday, the most anticipated guest was not the monarch but Duchess Kate. She arrived at the venue with her children.
A day before this year’s Trooping the Colour military parade, Duchess Kate announced that she would participate with the rest of the royal family. This is Middleton’s first public outing this year. The future queen arrived at the venue in a carriage dressed in a white dress and a wide-brimmed hat.
Duchess Kate with her children at Trooping the Colour
Her children closely followed Duchess Kate. George, Charlotte, and Louis travelled with their mother in the car and joined her in the carriage to officially greet the guests. As seen in the pictures, the royal children are becoming more confident in their roles year by year. Charlotte and Louis peeked through the windows with appropriate solemnity but also smiled. George appeared the calmest and most composed.
Prince Louis, known for his love of joking during official events, maintained relative calm this time. However, a subtle smile could be seen on his face. Charlotte kept her composure - as befits a princess.
Let's recall that Kate and William's daughter turned 9 years old this year. According to internet users, she looks remarkably serious for her age. There are also lively discussions regarding who the growing princess resembles more: mom, dad, or maybe great-grandmother.
See the pictures and judge for yourselves.
