"And then I was hospitalized for six weeks because grief burned a hole in my esophagus, which caused me to vomit large amounts of blood, and eating was practically out of the question," she explained. She also added that she had been working on a new film recently, whose theme coincided with what she experienced after her stepfather’s death. "I’m not interested in what you think about my butt. Maybe think about your own," she retorted.
In the summer of 2023, Kate Beckinsale’s stepfather, Roy Battersby, was diagnosed with two cancers. He died on January 10, 2024. She was very close to him. Roy replaced her biological father, whom she lost when she was 5 years old. Recently, the actress learned that her mom is also seriously ill with cancer.
