France's secret Russia talks: Lavrov's controversial claim

Many pieces of information reported by Russian media or government representatives are elements of propaganda. These reports are part of the informational war conducted by the Russian Federation.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov stated that France repeatedly approached Russia through confidential channels, proposing to initiate a dialogue on the Russo-Ukrainian war without involving Ukraine. According to "Ukrainian Truth," Russia was prepared to consider Paris's proposals, even while France was simultaneously supporting the deployment of peacekeeping forces to Ukraine.

Lavrov mentioned that France, despite its dialogue proposals, is also training Ukrainian soldiers on its soil and supports sending a European contingent to Ukraine. This "ambiguous stance," according to Lavrov, undermines the credibility of French initiatives.

- Several times, through confidential channels, our French colleagues appealed: "Let's help, let's initiate a dialogue on the Ukrainian issue." By the way, excluding Ukraine, contradicting the West's frequently repeated principle, "nothing about Ukraine without Ukraine" - he stated.

- Decision-making centres directly in Kyiv could become targets for Russian strikes, depending on the threats - stated the Russian Foreign Minister. He simultaneously argued that "Moscow never attacks civilian targets."

- We select targets for destruction within Ukrainian territory solely based on threats against the Russian Federation. These might include military facilities, defence industry enterprises, and decision-making centres in Kyiv, but attacking civilian targets "is a method used by the Nazis who have settled in Kyiv with Western support," he asserted. Despite this, there is daily evidence of Moscow destroying entire residential areas, hospitals, and schools in Ukraine.
