Kamala Harris speculates next steps after electoral loss

Although we will have to wait for the official results, it is already certain that Donald Trump will become the new President of the United States. The millionaire surprisingly defeated Kamala Harris by a wide margin, and there is currently media speculation about her future career. According to the "New York Times," the politician has two potential paths.

After losing the presidential election, Kamala Harris faces a decision about her next steps in her career. "The New York Times," as reported by the Polish Press Agency, analyses possible scenarios for the former US Vice President.

One option for Harris is to run again in the 2028 presidential elections. Although this solution might seem natural, history shows that it rarely brings the expected success. Hillary Clinton is an example; after losing in 2016, she did not return to top political positions.

Alternatively, Harris may consider working in the private sector. Many politicians leave Washington for lucrative offers from companies. However, due to her political ambitions, such a decision might be premature.

Kamala Harris will retreat into the shadows after the defeat

Another possible direction is establishing a foundation or a research institute. Even though such an initiative might be risky after an electoral defeat, it would allow Harris to continue public activities and influence critical social issues.

"The New York Times" also suggests that Harris might decide to write a book. By sharing her experiences from the election campaign and working alongside Joe Biden, she would gain a platform to present her perspective and maintain a presence in public life.

However, Harris may decide to take a break to reflect on the future and draw conclusions from recent events. The newspaper reminds us that after losing the 2016 elections, Hillary Clinton spent time hiking near her home in Chappaqua, New York.
