Jeremy Renner suffered a grave accident over a year ago, leaving him critically injured in the hospital. Fortunately, the 53-year-old not only made a full recovery but also promptly resumed working. A co-star from the series shared Renner's thoughts on his professional future.

Fans of "Mayor of Kingstown" can look forward to the third season on SkyShowtime come June 6, Eastern Time. Jeremy Renner is back in his role, known lately for playing Hawkeye in Marvel's cinematic universe but also for memorable roles in "Mission Impossible - Rogue Nation", "New Start", and "Tag".

During promotion for the new season of "Mayor of Kingstown", Michael Beach, who also stars in the series, spoke to The Direct about his famous colleague's condition. "Jeremy is a true fighter. This guy broke nearly 40 bones. He actually died, which I wasn't aware of until he told me himself, and then came back to life," said Beach.

The actor highlighted that Renner "wasn't sure what his recovery would entail" post-accident. However, he "was ready" once filming for the series commenced. "With each week, he grows stronger," Beach revealed.

Upon the crew's return to the "Mayor of Kingstown" set, Renner's physical condition posed "no delays." "He just does it. He's incredible. As tough as nails," concluded Michael Beach, known for his roles in "Dahmer", "Aquaman", and "Recipe for Life". Jeremy Renner is not only working on "Mayor of Kingstown" but is also gearing up to film a new movie with Aron Gaudet and Gita Pullapilly ("Queenpins"). There are whispers of his return as Hawkeye in "Avengers 5".

Jeremy Renner - a harrowing accident

In January 2023, Jeremy Renner experienced a horrific accident. The actor was helping neighbors clear snow in the vicinity using a private plow. It was this heavy machine, weighing around 7 tons, that pinned him while he attempted to prevent his nephew from being caught under it. The actor paid a steep price: he lost a significant amount of blood and sustained injuries to his head, chest, and legs, with over 30 broken bones. Medical professionals described his condition as critical but stable.

"I would do it again. Without hesitation. I would do it again if it meant saving my family," he confessed two months later in his first interview post-accident.
