The formal gathering followed the wreath-laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Arlington National Cemetery and the businessman's speech at the "victory rally" at Capital One Arena in Washington.

At the National Building Museum in Washington, where the evening meeting was held, attendees included Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos with Lauren Sanchez. Ivanka Trump was also present. Donald's eldest daughter showcased herself in a shimmering, form-fitting dress with off-the-shoulder details designed by Oscar de la Renta. The 43-year-old documented the event on her social media.
